The Lebanese American Commissions for Democracy (LACD) offered its condolences on the passing of the Father Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, during a visit by the Association’s president to the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Los Angeles.
During the visit, the LACD president signed the book of condolences and expressed the Association’s deepest sympathy to the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, as well as to the esteemed Al Thani family.
LACD stated that the visit reflects the values of human solidarity and mutual respect and embodies the strong relationships that unite the various communities and institutions across the United States, particularly during moments that call for standing alongside friends and extending sincere condolences.
The Association also conveyed its heartfelt sympathies to the State of Qatar, praying that God may grant the Father Emir His boundless mercy and provide his family and the Qatari people with patience and comfort.
LACD reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the values of dialogue, respect, and human solidarity, as well as its dedication to participating in national and humanitarian occasions that reflect the depth of its relationships with various communities and partner institutions across the United States.
